Mannings Heath is a village south-east of Horsham in RH13, among golf courses and woodland, and the houses tend to be detached with more floor space than the bedroom count implies. Four bedrooms can mean a lot more
A four bedroom here often has a utility room, a boot room, a study and a second sitting room, none of which come up when someone says “four bedrooms” on the phone. That matters for hourly work more than for fixed-price jobs. A deep clean is priced on team hours at £26 per cleaner-hour with £30 added for kit, so two cleaners for six hours is £342 and three for six hours £498. A quick walk round with your phone camera before ringing saves both of us guessing, and on a house like this a guess is usually wrong one way or the other.
Autumn leaves on the carpets
Wet leaves carried in during October and November leave a brown tannin mark that a vacuum won’t shift, and it sets if left over winter. Extraction removes it while it’s fresh. Our carpet rates are £36 a bedroom and £43 a living room, with £61 for a through lounge, stairs £41 a flight, and rugs £35 or £51. Autumn is the busy carpet season out here, the reverse of town, where it peaks with the summer move-outs.
Range cookers
Kitchens here have a range far more often than a built-in single. A 90cm range costs £143, the same as a two oven AGA. Racks, trays and burner parts are left soaking while the inside and the door glass are hand cleaned at the worktop. A double is £110 and a single £77. An AGA needs to be completely cold, so it goes off the night before.
Winter carpet cleaning in the morning
From November to February we book Mannings Heath carpet jobs in the morning. The lanes are slow after dark, and a carpet cleaned at four on a January afternoon won’t dry before the house cools overnight. A morning start gives it a full day with the heating on, and wool comes up noticeably better for it. It’s just scheduling. The price is the same.

Conservatories are cleaned inside, frames and sills included, and the inside of the roof glass wherever it’s in reach from the floor or a two-step.
