Our one off deep cleans in Horsham begin at £186: two cleaners on site for three hours, each billed at £26 an hour, and a £30 charge for machines and detergents. It’s always a team of at least two, for at least three hours, and it’s priced on time, never on bedrooms. The biggest job on our list is £498.
| Team and hours on site | Total with kit |
|---|---|
| 2 cleaners, 3 hours | £186 |
| 2 cleaners, 4 hours | £238 |
| 2 cleaners, 5 hours | £290 |
| 3 cleaners, 3 hours | £264 |
| 3 cleaners, 4 hours | £342 |
| 3 cleaners, 6 hours | £498 |
Every row comes from one sum: £26 for each hour each cleaner is there, plus the £30 kit charge, with a floor of two people for three hours. If the team finishes early, you pay for the hours actually worked. Leave out your own vacuum and products and we take off the £30, which some people prefer when they’re fussy about their stone worktops. Two cleaners for six hours and three for four hours both come to £342, so pick whichever suits how long you want people in the house.
Who books one
Roughly three kinds of customer. There are people who’ve just had an extension or a new kitchen and found dust everywhere, which happens a lot on the newer plots at Broadbridge Heath and in Southwater, where garage conversions and rear extensions keep going in. There are people with family coming to stay who want the house turned out. And there are landlords who’ve got a property back after a long let and need it presentable before the listing photos.
Bathrooms eat the hours
Southern Water supplies Horsham from chalk at about 225 ppm, and limescale is the biggest single time cost on a deep clean here. A shower screen that’s been wiped for years and never descaled goes cloudy from the bottom up. It needs acid gel and time. The same goes for taps, kettles, shower heads and the grout where the tray meets the tiles. Allow an hour per bathroom in a house that hasn’t had this for years, and more if the screen has turned milky.
After the builders
Plaster dust keeps falling for days. A builders clean done the day after the last tradesperson leaves usually needs a lighter second visit about a week later, and we’ll say that before you book. Dust settles on door tops and in window tracks and then drifts back down onto clean surfaces. For a three bedroom after a new kitchen, two cleaners for six hours at £342 is a fair guess; for a big house you want done in a day, three cleaners for six hours at £498. Photos help us more than a description. Book it for once the last trade has packed up.
What two people get done in three hours
A kitchen done properly (inside the cupboards, tops of the units, plinths, and behind any appliances that pull out) plus one bathroom. Over six hours they’d add the other bathrooms, the bedrooms, and the door frames and skirting throughout. A neglected four bedroom house can’t be done top to bottom in three hours, and a firm promising that will skip the bits you can’t see from the doorway. We’d rather quote six hours and be right.
Older rooms, more corners
A Victorian kitchen off The Causeway, with a chimney breast, a larder and open shelves, gathers far more dust than a fitted galley kitchen on a newer estate. A small period sitting room has more ledges and corners per square metre than a room twice its size at Wickhurst Green. The hourly rate stays at £26 in both. The number of hours is what changes, and that’s why bedroom count is a poor guide to what a deep clean costs in this town.
Grout, silicone and mould
Grout lines are scrubbed back, silicone edges are cleaned along their length and surface mould is treated and wiped away. Where a bead of silicone would look better replaced, we’ll point it out so a fitter can swap it in ten minutes.
For a check-out, use the move-out service
If you’re leaving a rental, you almost certainly want the end of tenancy clean instead. Agents judge a check-out against an inventory, and a fixed price by bedroom count is easier to hold them to. A studio is £156 and two bedrooms £243, with the oven added for £31 if you need it. Carpet cleaning can go on top of either, charged room by room from £36. And if you’d like someone every week afterwards, regular cleaning is £23 an hour.
Call 020 8077 6947 and tell us how many bathrooms there are, what state the kitchen is in and whether there’s been building work, since those three things set the hours more than size does. We work across RH12 and RH13 from 8am to 7pm every day at one rate, and all prices are on the prices page.
Questions we get asked
What does a three bedroom deep clean cost?
It depends more on the kitchen and bathrooms than on bedrooms. A three bedroom left for years usually needs two cleaners for five or six hours, which is £290 or £342 including kit. Three cleaners for six hours, £498, gets a big house done in a day.
Can I avoid paying for kit?
Yes. Put out your own vacuum and products and the £30 comes off. Most people keep it, because the machines aren’t something you’d buy for one clean a year.
Do you clean after builders?
Yes, often on the newer estates after extensions and garage conversions. Plaster dust settles for days, so one visit makes the house livable and a lighter follow-up a week later finishes it.
Will a deep clean do for a check-out?
It reaches the same standard, but agents work from an inventory and prefer a fixed figure. For a check-out, book the end of tenancy clean from £156 and add carpets and the oven where the inventory needs them.
How many cleaners do you send?
At least two, three if the house is large or needs finishing in a day. Two for six hours and three for four hours are both £342, so it comes down to how long you want us there.
Do you do deep cleans at weekends?
Yes, 8am to 7pm any day at the same £26 an hour for each cleaner. There’s no weekend surcharge and no charge for travelling out to the villages.
