Regular house cleaning in Horsham is charged by the cleaner-hour: £23 on a weekly visit, £24 on a fortnightly one. So a three-hour weekly slot, which is also the shortest visit we book, costs £69. There’s no call out fee and no contract. Where the rota allows, the same cleaner comes every time.
| How often | Rate for each cleaner | Three hours |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | £23 an hour | £69 |
| Fortnightly | £24 an hour | £72 |
| Ironing, on top of cleaning time | £12 an hour |
The weekly rate is lower since a home seen every seven days is faster to get round than one left a fortnight. The rate follows the work.
A normal three-hour visit
Worktops, the hob and the sink. Bathrooms, shower screen included. Floors vacuumed and mopped, dusting, and the high tops that get overlooked. Fresh sheets on the beds if you leave them out. Once it settles in, three hours suits most two or three bedroom houses, though the first visit always takes longer because of everything that has built up. In Horsham the length of a visit is set by the bathroom, and in particular by the limescale, far more than by how many bedrooms there are.
Ironing on top of the cleaning
Ironing is £12 an hour, charged on top of your cleaning time, so the bathroom and kitchen still get every hour you booked for them. Add an hour for a week of shirts and the three hours of cleaning carry on as before.
Cleaning while you’re at work
Every weekday morning a good chunk of Horsham heads for the trains at Horsham and Littlehaven and doesn’t come back till after six. So in most of our regular homes, nobody’s in while we work. Some customers give us a key. Alarm codes are written down once and never said over the phone. Others fit a key safe by the back door. We’re happy either way, and lots of people are home for the first visit and hand the key over at the end of it.
The same person each week
We put one cleaner on your house and keep them there. After a week or two they know where the cloths are kept and which cupboard door sticks, and that’s worth more than any checklist. If they’re ill or away, we ring the evening before with the name of the stand-in or offer another day. Nobody new just turns up.
Village days
Village work goes out on fixed days, and Slinfold shares its day with Warnham, so moving one house usually means moving the whole round. It’s easier in town. Ask, and we’ll tell you what’s actually free.
Equipment, products and your worktops
We bring everything, so you don’t need to buy anything in. Cloths are colour-coded so the bathroom ones never go near the kitchen, and we take them away to wash. Got a product you want kept for a certain surface? Tell us at the start, which is kinder to a stone worktop than finding out afterwards. Deep-set sash windows in the older houses get their inside glass and runners done on each visit.
The first month
Part of the first visit is a walk round. You show us what to leave alone, which floors hate water and any product you swear by, and then we get going. After three or four weeks the same three hours covers more ground, and if the house would do better with longer, we’ll suggest it.
When a deep clean should go first
If a house has been let slide, the first month of weekly visits is slow going. A team deep clean first (£186 upwards, a pair for three hours, kit included) gets it back to a good starting point, and the weekly visits then keep it there. It costs more at the start. Few regret it. Plenty of regulars also book the oven at £77 once a year.
We cover the town, Roffey and the villages out into RH13, with no travel charge. Ring 020 8077 6947 any day from 8am to 7pm, tell us the size of the house and the hours you were thinking of, and we’ll tell you if that sounds short. Everything is on our price list.
Questions we get asked
What’s the hourly rate for a Horsham cleaner?
Weekly visits are £23 per cleaner-hour, fortnightly ones £24. Three hours weekly is £69 and three fortnightly is £72. No call out fee and no contract.
Is there a minimum booking?
Yes: a regular visit runs to three hours at least, since anything shorter rarely gets a house round properly. The £67 minimum is a separate rule for one off jobs and doesn’t touch hourly work.
Must I be home when you clean?
No. Our regulars are mostly out at work, so we use a key or a key safe. Plenty of people are in for the first visit and give us a key then.
Which do I want, regular cleaning or a deep clean?
Regular cleaning means one person on a fixed day, weekly or fortnightly (£23 or £24 hourly). A deep clean is a single team visit, charged at £26 for each cleaner’s hour plus £30 kit, from £186.
Can I change my day?
Usually in town. In the villages it’s harder because Warnham and Slinfold share a round. Ask and we’ll tell you what’s free.
Are evenings or weekends extra?
No, it’s one rate every day between 8am and 7pm. The most popular slots fall between the morning trains and school pick-up, when houses are empty.
You can also ring 020 8077 6947, any day from 8am.
