A single oven in Horsham is £77. Monster Cleaning Horsham takes the racks, trays, runners, pan supports and fan cover out to a heated dip tank in the van, and everything bolted down gets hand work in your kitchen while those parts soak. A double is £110, a 90cm range £114 and a two oven AGA £143.

Appliance Price
Single oven £77
Double oven £110
Range cooker, 90cm £114
AGA, two oven £143
Hob £23
Extractor £28

Each appliance carries a single figure. A cooker with a separate grill box above the main cavity is still one single. A double counts once rather than twice. The £67 minimum on one off work never reaches an oven, though a hob at £23 or an extractor at £28 booked alone will hit it, which is why those two usually travel with something else.

The tank does the parts and the hand work does the rest

Removable parts travel out to the tank. Fixed surfaces get scraped back, gelled, left to work and finished at the worktop: cavity, seals, and the inner faces of the door glass wherever the hinges allow the panes apart. Nothing caustic goes near the appliance. Racks go back rinsed and dried, so there is nothing waiting to burn off and you can cook in it that night. There will be a smell for the first hour of use. That is old carbon coming off the element, and it passes.

One integrated single at eye level, or a freestanding cooker in a chimney recess

The estate housing at Broadbridge Heath, Wickhurst Green and Southwater arrived with standard-plan kitchens and a single integrated oven at eye level, usually behind a fascia that has to come off, with telescopic rails holding grease underneath where nobody has ever looked. Those clean quickly once you know the model, and we know most of them. The old town-centre houses are the opposite. A freestanding cooker sitting in a chimney recess, often with a separate grill compartment above the main cavity, frequently older than the tenant, and pulled out to find twenty years of run-off down the side of the units. Same £77 either way. Perhaps ninety minutes between them on the day.

Ranges and AGAs live out in the villages

A 90cm range at £114 turns up far more often in Mannings Heath, Warnham and Slinfold than it does in a flat near the station, and the two oven AGA at £143 is almost entirely a village and country-kitchen job. An AGA has to be completely cold on arrival, so switch it off the night before rather than over breakfast. Ranges take longer than the gap between £110 and £114 suggests. We would sooner price them honestly and lose the odd job than turn up and start adding.

Hobs, extractors and the things that hide above head height

A hob strip at £23 covers the burner caps, crowns and pan supports going into the tank with the racks, plus the tray beneath them. Wiping a hob top over is part of any kitchen clean and carries no charge; taking one apart is the £23. Induction and ceramic get a cream and a scraper, gently, because that surface scratches and there is no undoing it. An extractor is £28 for the filters out and soaked and the housing degreased. In the extended back kitchens at Roffey the extractor is reliably the most neglected thing in the house, mainly because the filter sits above head height and out of mind. A large separate hood over an island gets a figure on the day, since some come apart in two minutes and some take half an hour of undoing screws above your head.

Market days move the van, not the price

The Carfax local markets trade Thursdays and Saturdays, roughly 9am to 5pm, and the Saturday farmers’ market runs to over 40 stalls. While they are trading the town-centre carriageway is out of use. For a town-centre oven on either day we park at Swan Walk or Piries Place and carry the kit in, which adds ten minutes each way, so those addresses get booked early in the morning or after the stalls come down. It makes no difference at all to what you pay.

A filthy oven costs the same as a clean one

The price does not climb because your oven is bad. A single is £77 whether it was done last spring or last decade, which is rather the point of a fixed rate, and it is why we would rather you did not attack it with a supermarket product the night before. What changes is the time. A cavity with a hard carbon crust on the base wants a second gel and a longer soak on the racks, so the slot goes in at two hours and sometimes uses every minute. Say on the phone if it has never been cleaned, and we bring more tank space.

What we cannot put right

Catalytic and pyrolytic liners are a known limit. That rough enamel absorbs chemicals and cannot be treated the way a smooth cavity can, so those get detergent, water and hand work only, and the result is honestly not as good. They never go in the tank. Crazed or discoloured inner door glass stays crazed. Scratched enamel, perished seals and a hinge gone soft are repairs rather than cleaning, and we point them out instead of quietly working round them.

Booked with other work

Everyday grease is already covered by the banded move-out clean, so an oven only turns into a separate line once it has been left considerably longer than a single tenancy. Households on a weekly or fortnightly round tend to book the oven once a year and forget it in between, usually in October before the roasting starts. Booking two jobs into one visit usually costs less than two separate visits, since the oven parts sit soaking outside while the carpet machine runs indoors and the £67 minimum is only met once between them.

The van goes to every RH12 and RH13 address on the same list, with nothing added for the miles out to the villages. Every figure is on the prices page. Ring 020 8077 6947 between 8am and 8pm on any day of the week, or leave your postcode through the form and a callback follows inside the hour.

Questions we get asked

How much does oven cleaning cost in Horsham?

Singles are £77 and doubles £110. A 90cm range is £114 and a two oven AGA £143. A hob strip adds £23 and an extractor £28. Each appliance carries one figure, so a grill box above the main cavity does not make it a double.

How long does an oven clean take?

Roughly two hours on a single left a year, and nearer three where it is a double. Ranges with two cavities and a pile of burner parts run longer still, and that time is already inside the £114 instead of appearing at the end. An AGA needs to be cold before we arrive.

Can I use the oven the same day?

Yes. Parts go back rinsed and dried and the finishing products are food safe, so the cooker will take a meal that night. Expect a smell through the first hour of use as the last residue comes off the element. It passes.

Do you clean the hob and the extractor too?

As separate lines, £23 and £28. Wiping a hob top over is part of any kitchen clean and costs nothing, while a full strip with the caps, crowns and pan supports going into the tank is the £23. An extractor at £28 covers the filters soaked and the housing degreased.

Do you charge extra to come out to the villages?

No. An oven in Warnham, Slinfold or Mannings Heath is the same £77, £110, £114 or £143 as one in the middle of town. We group the village work onto shared days, which is how the price stays where it is.

Can you clean a self cleaning oven?

By hand, with detergent and water, and the result is not as good as on a smooth cavity. Catalytic and pyrolytic liners absorb chemicals and never go in the dip tank. We say so before booking rather than after, because it is the one oven type where the finish is limited by the appliance.
